January 3, 2023 — Many people make New Year’s resolutions. Sometimes they work and other times they are forgotten within days. But if you are committed to a resolution this year, your library is the place to go for additional information and classes.
Resolution: Eat Healthier – Your Kansas library has cookbooks galore that can help you make better eating decisions and create wonderful dishes. I am looking forward to reading “The Blue Zones American Kitchen”.
Resolution: Spend More Quality Time with Your Family – Your Kansas library has games, puzzles, activity books, and much, much more to connect with your family.
Resolution: Learn a New Language – You have access to Mango Languages through your library directly or the State Library of Kansas. After a couple of weeks of French lessons, you can be even better than ‘Emily in Paris’ on Netflix.
Resolution: Read and Listen to More Books and Watch Less TV – Thousands and thousands of books are ready for you at your local library and online. Don’t purchase an audiobook on Audible or a book from Amazon. Save your money and gift cards and instead check it out from your local library.
Resolution: Connect with My Community More – After a couple of years of staying home because of the pandemic, spend more time with people in your community. It is great for your health. Check out your local Kansas library’s calendar of events to find a book club, classes, or just go hang out.
